Cool! I like the JoeUser.com handle. Had no idea it was out there.

I plan to talk with the administrators, so I'll handle that. I can also talk with SUB, StuCo and Grad Council students, then we can talk with other student leaders.

I'll also help with the spray-chalking. Are we thinking late night?

Re: budget. Buttons and flyers should be no problem, budgetwise. But we've got to keep this low budget for now (and that's in keeping with the spirit of guerrila marketing). We might have to use some of our pittance of a marketing budget to shore up a few other things before we go crazy w/ table tents, posters, banners, etc. But I think we could get some support for doing something around Homecoming.

I agree that we should let the designer have the final say on the button. Same with the website, etc. We'll offer our input, FWIW, and let the volunteers make the final decisions. Empowerment feels good.

As we progress, we should also think about some "NYAJs" to feature on the website. GT should be one. As should be some outstanding students that might showcase the variety of talents we have -- not just 4.0s and design team members, but student athletes, OURE geeks, etc. To appeal to a broad range. How about some faculty and staff to recognize, too? do we need criteria?

P.S. Mindy - Is there a way to make this a group blog? In other words, can you "invite" us to post entries, the way we did on the old UMRPR blog? Or can we just post comments? Do you want to post the earlier info on here -- i.e., my memo and Tracy's notes?

while I am not in you school, here is a tip:

If you want to make a blog group, you can but the other people posting on it will also have to sign up to JoeUser.

Just ask T-Man (this sites technical Admin) about what you want to do.
